TAF Talent – Curated by Shenaz Mahomed, is the fair’s annual curated graduate exhibition of the top talent from the graduating and masters classes of the SA universities and creative schools. Curated by Shenaz Mahomed, the 2023 exhibition focused on creating connection and community between students within the various institutions. Subtitled: I now pronounce you a community, the exhibition programming aims to create a support system between the students across the country, whilst assisting students with challenges /adversities they face as up-and-coming artists.
The title of the exhibition is a play on words “I now pronounce you man and wife” based on the institution of marriage and commitment where promises are made and a partnership officially declared. In a broader sense, the students declare their commitment and support for each other to an audience (consisting of people who are just as invested in their abilities and ideas).
