Carol Brown was formerly Director of the Durban Art Gallery (1996-2006) and established the consultancy Curate.A.Space in 2007.
Carol has strong contacts with all of the museums and galleries in the country and internationally.
She curates travelling exhibitions, artist projects, corporate and museum collections.
The consultancy undertakes project work with a team of experienced professionals who are sub-contracted on a regular project basis.
These include curators, installation experts, designers, and transport companies.
Regular partnerships include the University of California (UCLA), where she works on Global Art and Health Centre exhibitions.
She is also a consultant curator to the Ifa Lethu Foundation, which repatriates art previously lost to the country during apartheid.
She has worked with important collections such as the City of Durban art collection and the Constitution Court collection in Joburg.
