Rohini Amratlal was born in Durban, South Africa in 1998. She is a multimedia artist and aspiring curator, presently studying her Postgraduate Diploma in Fine Art at DUT (Durban University of Technology). She expresses her talents mainly through the visual arts form from Drawing, Sculpting and Printmaking as it is her strongest form of communicating her opinions and views to the public. Rohini exhibited in group exhibitions at: KZNSA Sasol New Signatures (2017, 2018); Gallery of Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University (2017); African Art centre (2018); DUT second year exhibition (2018); Articulate Africa: Cover Versions (2019); KZNSA membership exhibition: Land (2019), X (2020); Graduate exhibition: When Thoughts Become Things (2019), Complacency 20 (2021). She has also participated in an exhibition titled: An Unfurling, under the Young Artists Project as an intern curator, which was directed by KZNSA. She is currently working in a four-month internship with Carol Brown at Curate A Space and participating in the Art bank commissioning program.
