Mashir “Mash” Kresenshun is a Johannesburg based artist. He was born in 1999, in a town called Greytown, in South Africa’s Kwa-Zulu Natal. Kresenshun matriculated in 2016 from Lenasia Secondary School and decided to become an artist as a life-time career. He specialises in all mediums however recently he has been exploring producing artworks on cardboard. The cardboard is used as a metaphor to question the ideology of “struggle” and how “struggle” makes us human. Kresenshun is currently creating works for a solo exhibition as well as a few group exhibitions which are going to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa. Furthermore, he is exhibiting in an up-coming group exhibition in London. In 2019, Kresenshun received Top 20 in Thami Mnyele as well as Top 100 in Sasol New Signatures.
