Methembe Hlelolwenkosi Molife was born on 8 August 1995 in Bulawayo Zimbabwe. He moved from his birth place to South Africa to complete his studies. He completed his matric in 2014 at Musina High school in Musina. In 2015 he enrolled at Artist Proof Studio and graduated in 2017.
In 2017 he took part in a third-year group exhibition called Tracing Blank Intersections, he was also part of the APS and Cartier collaboration project where artists were asked to create artworks inspired by Cartier jewellery. Molife was part of the APS Special Projects Unit that created mural paintings at Hollard Parktown Campus.
He participated in the ITWeb Brainstorm Calendar and one of the artists that re-interpreted the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for the Africa Shared Value Summit using the medium of Linocut.
In 2019 he participated in the collaboration between Artist Proof Studio and Hollard in making artworks for Hollard’s 40-year anniversary. Molife interned as a silk-screen assistant at Artist Proof Studio after graduating and is currently leading the silk-screening unit. Molife works in different printmaking techniques like Etching, Linocut and Screen printing. Other mediums that he enjoys working in are Charcoal and Pencil.
